Achilles tendinopathy (or tendonitis) is one of the most common injuries in people who have recently increased their activity levels.  It’s important you are mindful of your body and any niggles or twinges, you may just need to back off a little or rest completely.  If you are unsure then see a physio to give you a professional opinion.

Don’t let your training get in the way of your common sense!  If you try and push through an injury you may do more damage.  While rest can be frustrating, it may mean that you’re back on track with your training sooner and at full health for your event.
